ICYM Shamboor unit celebrates 72nd Indian Independence Day

15th August, 2018 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Shamboor unit celebrated 72nd Indian Independence Day on 15th August 2018. The programme began after the Holy Eucharistic celebration with the prayer song. Delwin lobo gave an introduction about the programme and requested the guests to take their honourable seats on the dias. Rev Fr Austine Fernandes was the chief guest for the programme. Parish Priest Rev Fr Jerald Pinto along with Gilbert Pinto Vice President Parish Pastoral Council, Lancy Crasta Animator, Seema Pinto Secretary ICYM Shamboor unit were the dignitaries of the programme. Denzil Lobo President ICYM Shamboor unit welcomed the gathering. Commando Melwin pais commanded the gathering and requested the chief guest to proceed towards flag hoisting ceremony. Gilbert pinto gave an introductory speech. Rev Fr Jerald Pinto and Austin Fernandes addressed the gathering about Indian Independence day. Rev Fr Austin Fernandes was felicitated with a memento as a token of love and gratitude. Seema Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded by singing national anthem. Various games and activities were conducted for the gathering and prizes were awarded to the winners as well sweets were distributed to the gathering. Delwin lobo compered the programme.
