Shimoga Diocese Youth Volunteers at Training Programme at Mysore

11th November, 2017: Volunteerism is one the most desired and revered aspects of Youth Ministry. Youth love to serve voluntarily. The elections in the Nation and State are round the corner. Voting is a fundamental right of citizen of a nation. In a large democracy like India it’s likely that the citizens feel lethargic towards exercising their duty towards the nation.

At this juncture the youth of the diocese of Shimoga joining in a venture by the laity commission of the Karnataka Region to enroll all the names of catholic community eligible for voting participated in a training program at ODP in Mysore on 11-11.2017. There were 15 participants from the diocese in this training program. They were trained how to enroll names in voters lit on line and to add names if incase names are deleted. The trained personnel will train others in the parish community.
