YCS/YSM II National Convention at Kolkata

Kolkata, 26 June 2017 ; YCS/YSM Karnataka region took active part in the YCS/YSM II National Convention held at Don Bosco Park Circus, Kolkata on 21-26 May 2017. Convention curtains were raised with the inaugural mass presided over by Most. Rev. Thomas D'Souza, Archbishop of Kolkata followed by the official inaugural programme. The key note address was given by the Rev. Fr Felix Raj SJ, the Vice Chancellor of St Xavier University, Kolkata. About 500 participants from all over India had taken part in the convention. The convention revolved around the theme ‘Believe, Begin and Become”

Sixty participants from four dioceses (Gulbarga, Shimoga, Udupi and Mangalore) of Karnataka Region took part in the convention and gained rich experience. The programme was well planned and executed by the students themselves. The motto of YCS/YSM ‘See Judge & Act’ came alive during the convention where students and the animators were facilitated to follow the motto and practice it.
